Homework and Plagiarism

Plagiarism occurs when somebody uses another person’s work without their consent, and they don’t cite it. When running your homework through a plagiarism checker, the copied work is highlighted showing that it was directly picked. Laziness is what causes plagiarism in your homework. People are too lazy to read, understand and put the articles in our words. There are ways in which one can avoid plagiarism in homework, explained below.

In homework, pressure makes most people copy their work. You wait until few hours before class or collection of the set homework. It causes tension resulting to copy-pasting of the work.  If you have to paraphrase, use the given examples to support your theories not to make them your body and always provide your references. Ensure that you plan earlier.

Make sure you understand your source and what you need to write in the homework. This will result in a successful paper. Keep tracking your sources especially if you are citing from the website. Not all websites are reliable for your homework. Ever accessed a website logged out on the page and tried to access it again only to realize that it was no more? Once you have extracted information from that page, always make sure you have saved it in a different new blank page. You do not want your instructor accusing you of plagiarism and giving you fewer marks than you deserve.

It is okay to research when carrying on with your homework help. That is why I would advise you to keep everything you are working on separately, from your school notes, your book sources and also your web sources. For example, your notes should remain in your notebook, web sources in your laptop and the other information on a piece paper. It helps you to keep boundaries. One can read, understand and put down in your own words.

Never read your classmates paper as an inspiration in your homework. I am telling you this from my experience. A few years back my lecture gave us a book to read and paraphrase. I hated the book; it was full of jargon and a lot of political stories that I didn’t enjoy reading. Two days before the assignment was collected, I borrowed a friend’s and promised myself that it would just be my homework help and I would write my own.  I ended up coping every word. Advice; never read a classmate’s work. It’s human nature to be tempted to copy.

Case study writing

case study

We have read of a case study concerning people who have lost their writing creativity. It is what we refer to as writers block. Reasons for this block vary from one person to the other, but some are the same like seeking perfectionism, fear, and time.

There are various ways one can curb this. The first one is reading books regularly. There is power in reading widely and when one feels like they cannot be creative this is the best place to turn to. I read a case study about one great novelist who wrote that people should never give up since it also happens to experienced novelist like him. He said he would wake up, take his computer, but no words would come out of his mind. He felt stuck until he discovered a way to curb his writers block. Taking lots of fruits and reading all kind of books he came across and every time he did that, he came up with amazing articles.

In another case study, a regular blogger said she writes what she loves the most when she has no ideas to write about. It could help that frequent writer who is feeling so lost and just stuck at this particular moment. If one’s love is towards nature, go out to the forest and write about that captures your attention.

Spending most of your time with people that make you feel appreciated is healthy for any writer according to a case study. They have positive energy. That is what one needs when they cannot create new content. These kinds of people could be your next project. They could say or do something, and an idea grows into your mind. One can test it out by doing free writing where no punctuation or grammar rules are followed.

Finally, any case study one comes across will prove that no writer has lost their imaginative side just a few distractions we come across that hinder us. Keep the phone away. Put those books on your desk away and work with no interruptions. Writing is a task that requires one to keep aiming and never failing, and sometimes it is better to ask for academic help.
